Well so much for the Nokia n810 run. It was fun while it lasted. The lil guy was built like a workhorse, had great functionality but in the end did not offer the apps rich experience of iPhone nor the flattened ease of access and productivity, ie too many intermediary steps in the way of what you really want to do.

Also some asshole dug through my bag at some lame bridge and beltway nightclub and stole it from me. Good luck trying to make use of without its propriatary charger and lack of passwords. It made for a greater incentive to get the new iPhone 3GS when it came out back in June.

Of course i still don’t link or hypertext in my blogs. I don’t even know how with this iPhone app for tumblr.

Oh yeah I’m in your interwebs by way of my iPhone.

Wow I have bar none the smallest computer here at Big Bear Cafe.. There’s an equal distribution of macbooks and pc laptops here. I am very certain my device is the only one running on Linux.

A big plus to how size matters, when I had to go excuse myself and step into the powder room, all I had to do was simply slip my n810 into my pocket. No need to have to tuck a laptop into sleep mode or drag it into the bathroom with me. I’d never consider leaving a laptop out. We’re in the midst of an economic crisis afterall!

well it’s been a while since my last post and since that time i’ve taken my nokia n810 to new heights in its functionality! lets see i got a skype landline number and was able to use it to receive and send calls to frriends whle argentina, i used it to skype my dad while working in my pensione’s dining hall in the gothic quarter of barcelona, and now i’m on the apex bus (a chinatown bus company) heading to philadelphia. the bus has free wifi and i was able to connect to the internets! to be honest it took 2-3 tries but i was able to save a connection. wow i feel so mobile, connected and untethered all at once! too bad i forgot my charger at home, i doubt i’ll have enough juice left for the trip back. kbai!

I found this sign at tryst! long story. well on the technical side i took this pic on my motorola razr cam phone. then emailed it to my gmail, opened my acct on the n810, downloaded it to the document folder and now am posting it!

Between a mac ibook, an hp nx9400 series laptop runniing xp, and my n810, my little linux running tablet was able to find and connect to the wifi network the fastest! Plus the amount to table space; or I should say the maximaisation of open table space, given the n810’s small compact size, is simply invaluable. i can actually have multiple drinks, my breakfast plate, and elbow room to enjoy the coffeehouse experience.. I also don’t run the risk of spilling anything on my keyboard either!
